J&M Marketing Communications creates National Presence for Jefferson Bath and Kitchen

One of the more frustrating things about ordering bath fixtures online is not getting all the parts you need to install the fixture. That problem was the genesis of Jeffersonbathandkitchen.com, where people can be sure their order will contain all the parts needed to complete a fixture, both in front of and behind tile walls.

Jill Jefferson understood that people across the country need to work with a knowledgeable online bathroom fixture source and decided to go national. Jeffersonbathandkitchen.com is surrounded by social media that drives people to the website. J&M’s print ads in Princeton Magazine and Hamilton Jewelers Magazine let local shoppers know about the top quality and stylish fixtures Jill has on her website. Beyond that J&M has been running print and online ads and articles in magazines that are read by people who want second homes for leisure and retirement. People from Georgia to Colorado see these ads and order from www.jeffersonbathandkitchen.com .

Jill, the third generation in a plumbing family, has currated more than 700 of her favorite bathroom and kitchen products for the website. She chose products for both style and quality.

“There were more expensive products I could have chosen,”  she said. “But they weren’t the top quality that I wanted to sell.” And Jill should know because all of the website’s products come from companies that Jill has known and worked with for years.

The showers range from simple showerheads to elaborate thermostatically-controlled showers with body sprays and hand shower accessories. Jill offers three models of Toto’s cutting edge Neorest toilets, as well as Toto’s new flotation tub where bathers feel weightless. And she lists 25 bathroom sink faucet models, with most models giving you a choice of handles.

From the start, Jill wanted J&M Marketing Communications  to design and develop her website. She knew our ability to create custom content. We worked with Jill from the beginning of her selection of 11 different categories ranging from faucets to granite tubs carved from a single stone.

We used Shopify, the world’s leading shopping cart, which provides so many helpful features for the sellers and a tracking feature for customers. Then we went to work customizing design and text for easy and clear viewing by website visitors. They see a consistent format throughout each of the categories. They can look at the product and go simply and quickly to ordering it.

You can also select products by type of  product, (like pedestal sink) model name, and manufacturer.  And, if you want to see all the, let’s say, bathtubs from one manufacturer at once, just go to the Search bar, and type in what you’re looking for.

Your ability to look and compare side by side works in all the 11 categories from kitchen faucets to bathroom faucets.

One result of client and agency working together towards the goal of an enjoyable online shopping experience: One website viewer from Texas actually emailed Jill to say how much she enjoyed going through the website because it was both “lovely and practical.”
