Princeton, NJ–November 7, 2019- The Princeton Mercer Regional Chamber and LeadNJ are pleased to announce the creation of a Chamber Scholarship Program designed to fund individuals to participate in the LeadNJ Leadership Program. NJM Insurance Group, PSE&G, LeadNJ and the Princeton Regional Chamber Foundation have come together and created a Scholarship Program under the Princeton Mercer Regional Chamber to sponsor participants in the LeadNJ Leadership Program.
Lead New Jersey brings together a highly select group of leaders to learn about the cutting-edge issues facing New Jersey, link directly with talented leaders working throughout the state, and lead as a champion of their own most cherished ideas. LNJ develops well-informed leaders, known as Fellows, who are prepared to cross boundaries across sectors, work effectively with people of all backgrounds, and find common ground with those who may think differently about issues.
“We are thrilled to partner with these leading organizations and the Princeton Mercer Regional Chamber to provide an individual in our region the ability to receive a scholarship for our 2020 LeadNJ program,” said Mark Murphy, Executive Director of LeadNJ. “This is our first partnership of this type and we are thrilled that we will be able to work with the Princeton Mercer Regional Chamber on this program.”

The award recipients were announced at the Chamber’s November Monthly Membership Luncheon recognizing: Jigna Rao, Continuing Studies Director of Mercer County Community College; and Karla Pollack, Principle at Association Business Solutions. These two individuals were chosen by the Scholarship Committee to participate in the 2020 LeadNJ program.
“Our Foundation’s mission includes bringing educational and leadership opportunities to individuals’ in our region. Being a partner of this scholarship program for LeadNJ is a significant opportunity for us,”said Melissa Tenzer, President of Dress for Success Central New Jersey and Chairperson of the Princeton Regional Chamber Foundation.
“PSE&G recognizes the importance of developing leaders in our region and we are pleased to participate with the Princeton Mercer Regional Chamber in creating this important scholarship opportunity,” said Frank Lucchesi, Regional Public Affairs Manager for PSE&G.
“NJM has been at the forefront of building responsible leaders throughout our company. We are happy to fund this scholarship to bring LeadNJ’s exceptional leadership program to deserving individuals outside of NJM as well,” said John Hardiman, Public Affairs Director at NJM.
